On Color Day each June, your child will be able to participate in a “marathon” to raise money for a non-profit organization selected by our PTO’s Newton Serves social action committee. This year, we are bringing our philanthropy closer to home.
On April 14, 2019, the Peirce community lost a valued member. Former Peirce parent Bob O’Guin, devoted father to Bobbi, Ben, and Brendan, passed away at the age of 50. Bob and his wife Laurie were longtime Peirce parents and strong supporters of our school and PTO. We would like to honor and support them in this time of grief by holding the Fun Run on their behalf to raise money for an established education fund for their children.
This year, we have set a fundraising goal of $6,000! We’re hoping each student can raise a minimum of $25 to reach our goal, but every little bit helps.
All donations must be made by one week after the Fun Run. Please remember to make sure your online donations specify the student and teacher. We will announce the final amount raised at the year’s last Town Meeting. See the PayPal link below to donate.
Thank you, in advance, for supporting your child(ren) and Peirce Elementary School in our community philanthropy efforts.
