• FRIENDSHIP WALK:  An annual event that signifies the strength of our educational community is our Friendship Walk, a tradition founded on the idea that we have much to celebrate in our friendship, health, and community.  Our walk will take place on Wednesday, November 22, with Kindergartners  beginning our parade at 10:45 a.m. and leading us along the following route:  Out the back door to Berkeley.  Left on Berkeley.  Right on Temple.  Right on Sterling.  Left on Sewall.  Right on Prince.  Right on Berkeley.  Left on Exeter.  Right on Commonwealth.  Right on Ruane to the school’s back door.  We hope to see many of you as spectators along the way!  We respectfully ask that families do not accompany us on the walk as children walk with buddy classrooms and enjoy this time together as a student body.  At the walk’s end, students and staff will enjoy a Town Meeting assembly with a traditional sing-along.  Please note that we are not able to invite parents to the sing-along due to space limitations in our auditorium.   
• PTO/PRINCIPAL COFFEE DATES: You are invited to join the principal and PTO Presidents for coffee this Friday, November 17^th, at 8:35 a.m. in the Art Room.  Future coffees will be held in the Art Room (8:35-9:15 a.m.) on January 12^th, February 9^th, March 16^th, and May 11^th.   Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Fleishman and members of the Newton School Committee will be present on February 9^th as a part of their annual tour of Newton schools.
