Please join the Peirce Social Action Committee as we kick off our initiatives this year with a food drive to help support FUEL, a local collaboration to help feed hungry children on the weekends.

Next week we’ll be collecting MAC & CHEESE and CANNED SOUPS to donate to FUEL, which will be added to the bags of food that they package and give to children each week. FUEL has a specific list of items that they include each week, so we thought we’d include a kid-favorite as well as something hearty to help keep warm and full as the weather gets colder.

Collection bins will be under the tent at Peirce next week, Monday, November 9 through Friday, November 13.

Aside from the donations that we collect through Social Action initiatives, we also try to share something with the children to help them understand the importance of these efforts. Typically we talk with students and/or share videos during Town Meetings, but since we’re not able to do that this year, we are including a video link here.  We encourage you to watch it with your children.
