From the Principal-April 12

Dear Peirce Families,

I hope that all of you enjoyed the summer-like weather on Saturday with its promise of warmer days ahead!   Today’s drizzle reminded us that it is still April and gave us an opportunity to practice our new routines for indoor lunch and recess.  These two weeks before April vacation are a time for us to familiarize ourselves with all of the routines and expectations that will help us learn together in a safe and supportive environment for the last quarter of the school year.

Although we have just returned to a full schedule for our in-person students, it is already time to start planning for the fall.  During the month of May, we will begin working on class lists for the 2021-22 school year.  We ask that all families please let us know as soon as possible if your children will not be returning to Peirce next year so that we can plan with accuracy.   Placement is a responsibility that we take very seriously, and our teams put in many hours to create balanced and fair classes. While we do know your children well, there may be additional information that you feel would be helpful for us to know. Please note that your input is OPTIONAL and is not required in order to have your child’s needs met.  If you choose to give your input, we ask that you complete this form by Friday, April 30th. Information received after this date will not be considered.  Please do not request specific teachers as we are unable to honor these requests.   All families will receive notification of teacher assignments in late August.

With Best April Wishes,

Mark Chitty

Ramadan Mubarak to all of our families who are observing this month.
