PEIRCE SPRING MOM’S NIGHT OUT: TONIGHT Thursday, 5/24, 7:00pm-10:00pm Join Peirce Moms tonight at the home of Tara Fitzgerald at 74 Colbert Rd East. It is a great way to meet new parents and reconnect with old friends. Suggested donation of $10 to be paid at the door. Light appetizers and beverages will be served. Any Questions? SPRING FOOD DRIVE: May 15- May 30 The food drive is in full swing! Please donate unopened, unexpired non-perishable food and/or household items for our annual food drive to benefit the Newton Food Pantry (NFP). Collection boxes are located at the front and back entrances of the school. FAMILY DANCE: Friday 6/1 6:00pm – 8:00pm Save the date for the annual Peirce School Family Dance. Pizza, snow cones and other goodies will be available for purchase (cash sales only). DJ and dancing for the kids on the basketball court. Peirce merchandise will be for sale. Family Dance is $10 per family!
COLOR DAY FUN RUN: Tuesday 6/5, The students will be running laps in a “marathon” to raise money for a great cause! Adding to the already generous support of Peirce’s Extended Day Program, the school will be donating funds collected to Escuela S.U. Fermin Delgado Diaz, the school in Puerto Rico that has been without power and running water since Hurricane Maria devastated the island 244 days ago. The Student Council has decided to increase last year’s fundraising goal to $7,000 – if the students achieve the goal, Mr. Chitty will take a pie in the face at Town Meeting! PEIRCE FORJ DYNAMIC DIVERSITY NIGHT: Wednesday 6/6, 6:30pm-8:00pm parents-only Please join us for a night of Exploring Identities and Embracing our Commonalities led by Amy Behrens in the Peirce Gymnasium. The evening will feature several creative and fun activities designed to stimulate sharing and discussion among participants about how we identity ourselves and how we experience those identities in the Peirce community and beyond. You will make new friends and deepen older friendships. Pizza will be served! SEPAC AWARDS: The SEPAC Awards Ceremony (Special Education Parent Advisory Committee) will be held on Jun 13, 2018 from 6-8:30pm at NNHS. Nominate NPS faculty or staff who have done exceptional work with students receiving special education services. Submit a nomination ASAP or by May 31 through this link SEPAC Nomination Form
CROSSING GUARD/BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION WEEK: May 28-June 1 Safe Routes to School would like to recognize the wonderful work of the crossing guard and bus drivers in keeping the students at Peirce safe. Please don’t forget to thank them for their work either by having your child make them a card or just saying thank you.
