Community members, including students, are invited to make a public comment on the NPS budget at a virtual public hearing tonight, April 12th, at 6PM.
The proposed budget falls almost $5M short of providing the services our students receive this year. This shortfall will affect every family in the district.
People have been thinking very creatively about how to address the budget shortfall in the short-term and in the long-term.
The attached memo has been submitted by School Committee Member (and Peirce parent) Chris Brezski in advance of the meeting. It suggests ways to address some of the funding problems in the short-term. Brezski FY24 Budget Memo pdf
