1. Our 4th/5th Grade Dance will take place Friday, March 21 from 6:30-8:30pm. We are currently looking for several volunteers to plan and execute the event. Responsibilities include coordinating with the DJ for setup needs; communicating with school custodian and set up needs; monitoring check-in and check-out. Please email [email protected] if you’d like to volunteer! Once the planning committee is finalized, we will send a sign up sheet for chaperones.

2.  Newton Serves Coordinator – 5/4/25  – Newton Serves is an annual grounds beautification project sponsored by the Newton Department of Parks & Rec. Schools and school grounds are City property and therefore qualify to receive supplies (namely, mulch) from the City to help keep our school grounds looking great. The project coordinator will spearhead the effort at Peirce by signing us up as a work site with the City, and coordinating the collection of materials from City Hall the day before the event. We will send out a sign up form where Peirce families can sign up for time slots to help; duties including spreading mulch, picking up trash, cleaning out dead leaves/branches/etc from grounds. 

(Last year, we did not have a volunteer to lead this project and therefore were unable to participate and receive mulch from the City. We would love to add this back to our spring calendar if a volunteer or two were able to take the lead on it!)

3.  School Supply Kits Coordinator – spring 2025 – We are already planning for the 2025-26 school year and are beginning to confirm our grade level school supply kits that are ordered every spring thru SchoolKidz. Getting your school supplies ordered well in advance makes the start of the school year much smoother and it’s a PTO Fundraiser! We are in need of a volunteer who is able to take on the coordination of getting the school kits set up. This includes confirming supply lists with the teachers and confirming dates (order-by and delivery to the school). This can primarily be done on your own time!
