Free Flag Football Exhibition for Girls – Fri, 6/10 from 4:45-5:45pm (RSVPs needed)

A message from Courtney Labb, Peirce parent:

Hey Parents!  The Newton NFL Flag Football League is looking to continue their girl’s only program, but there is one thing that is essential for making that happen and it’s…GIRLS!

My daughter (Eden, 1st grade) expressed interest in trying out flag football after watching her brother play this past season. I want her to have that opportunity. It’s a great sport that requires very little equipment, and teaches teamwork, agility, and endurance. Plus, last fall the girls got to play a game on the field at Fenway Park and it’s just a whole lot of fun!!!!  You can check out the hype reel from that event here: https://youtu.be/0nkTWjTlC2Q.

Whether your daughters have already expressed interest or if they have no idea what this is all about, please encourage them to come to the Peirce field at 4:45pm on Friday, June 10. The head of Newton Flag and his staff will be there to run a free event that will give participants an opportunity to see what the hype is all about! Plus, you can stick around after for the Peirce Family Dance! How convenient, am I right?

I hope to see many of you there and if you know girls at other Newton Elementary schools, please feel free to spread the word!!! The more the merrier!

More info is available at https://newtongirlsflag.org/.  Submit RSVPs to me, Courtney Labb, at [email protected]. You will be asked to sign an electronic waiver at the field.
