ACTIONS, REMINDERS & UPCOMING DEADLINES:

BOOK DRIVE FOR BOSTON PARTNERS FOR EDUCATION: The Peirce PTO Social Action Committee has kicked off our annual book drive to donate to Boston Partners for Education (BPE), a non-profit dedicated to supporting students in the Boston Public School (BPS) system through in-classroom academic mentoring services. Please donate lightly used elementary school level books, from easy readers to chapter books, from now until April 4 at the school’s front and back entrances. We hope that students will “Read it Forward,” donating the books read during Peirce’s March Madness event.

INCOMING KINDERGARTEN: Our next Kindergarten screening & registration will be on the morning Tuesday, March 12, 2019. If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2019, please call Trisha Carey at 617-559-9630 to set up an appointment for one of those dates.If you know of any families with kindergarten-age children who may not have been counted on the last census (e.g. people who have moved in recently) or whom we may have not known about, please ask them to call the school. That will be helpful as we try to reach all potential incoming kindergartners.

PEIRCE DAD’S NIGHT OUT: Wednesday, 3/13, 6PM – 10PM. Sign up to attend Now! The event will take place at The Neighborhood Club at 24 Berkeley Street in West Newton. Come join other Peirce dads for a night out for some bowling, games, meeting new friends, and reconnecting with old friends. Light dinner from Anna’s Taqueria and beverages will be provided.
* Please note that The Neighborhood Club entrance way on the left side is closed for repairs. Walk down the driveway on right side, and park on Berkeley Street. Thank you!

SIGN UP TO SHARE YOUR CULTURE! On Friday, May 3, Peirce FORJ will host Multicultural Night at 6PM for Peirce families to share, enjoy, and learn about each other’s culture in a wide variety of ways. Families are invited to host tables or activity spaces to introduce cultural items, activities, or food to our entire school community.
