Dear Peirce Families,

As has been shared in recent district newsletters, CIC Health, the contractor charged with implementing COVID testing in schools throughout the state, has experienced significant challenges operationalizing the program. Our district leaders have been working closely with CIC to address the challenges and to put the testing program in place as soon as possible.

Tuesday was scheduled to be the first day of the weekly testing program here at Peirce. Unfortunately, given the staffing shortage at CIC Health, the length of time taken for testing, and the number of schools scheduled for today, the testing staff was not able to conduct testing at Peirce.

We are in conversation with the NPS testing team and CIC. We don’t have an answer yet whether testing will occur tomorrow given the current limitations of the state contractor. It is unlikely that it will happen tomorrow; however,  we fully expect all consenting Peirce students to be tested next week.
